GameHouse & International Women’s Day

First of all, our thoughts are with the Ukrainian people and anyone who is involved in these tragic times. With Ukraine under attack and so many people suffering, we acknowledge that now is not a time for celebration. However, we also view this as an important moment to encourage each other to be the best we can be, especially on International Women’s Day. For that reason, Simonetta Lulli (CEO of GameHouse) shares her thoughts on International Women’s Day with us.

Female empowerment is at our core

At GameHouse, women are at the heart of our universe and our mission is to empower them. We encourage women in the company to act with both strength and autonomy when exercising their diverse array of skills and capabilities. Female empowerment is a core aspect of our products. Female protagonists feature in all our games and we’re doing our best to expand the diversity of characters in our stories, to be representative of an inclusive modern world where individual ambitions and choices are championed.

Meet our female characters

Emily has been a part of the GameHouse story for many years now and features in multiple chapters of our existing gaming portfolio. One of our most successful titles, Delicious World, documents her journey to become a successful chef, a career largely undertaken by men. If cooking doesn’t speak to your soul, perhaps the adventures of Amber, our female flight attendant, will capture your attention. Her story is one of determination and in our games, she is viewed as a heroine whose ability to make swift and smart decisions has evaded many disasters. We’re also very excited about our upcoming title, featuring Tilly, a young engineer with a compelling past and a promising future.

Be the best version of yourself

As CEO of GameHouse and one of the few female CEOs currently represented within the gaming industry, I consider myself an advocate for diversity and empowerment and believe that taking a collective stance in upholding these values is essential in our quest to #BreakTheBias.

As both a leader and a working mother, I endeavour to empower both my team and my children to believe in themselves and to work hard in the pursuit of happiness, knowing that success is ultimately ignited by loving what you do. With Ukraine under attack and so many people suffering, we acknowledge that now is not a time for celebration. However, we also view this as an important moment to encourage each other to be the best we can be. We still want to share our pride and admiration for women during International Women’s Day, and all year round, in the knowledge that women will play a key role in making the world a better place again. Join the movement and #BreakTheBias with GameHouse and beyond.
